Things to Know Before you Plan your Trips:
- If visiting the waterpark is a big deal for you and your family, make sure that you have purchased your ticket online prior to your trip. Verified and check the waterpark hours of operation for the day you are planning to visit. We’ve been to the Waterpark four times now and trust me that I have some stories to share.
- Make sure that you get the right ticket for your kids— believe me when I said that they will measure your kids regardless of what ticket you buy.
- If you’re using your military discount, don’t forget to bring your ID. Otherwise, you will not be able to get the discounted rate.
- Don’t forget to bring beach towels! The towels are on sale at the waterpark for $15 and it is not worth the extra expense.
- If you want to rent a locker the cost is $30 for the day, so try to pack light and keep that money in your pocket.
- If possible, make sure that your kids are fed 1-2 hours prior to your visiting the waterpark. Their dining options are pricey in my opinion.
- The indoor waterpark temperature is supposed to be set to 80-82 degrees, but it felt more like 70-72 degrees. My kids were cold after an hour of being in the water. However, keep in mind that my kids are skinny, and they get cold more quickly than other kids.
- Changing rooms and showers are available at the waterpark.
- The best day to visit the waterpark is on a Monday. Fewer people, less chaos, cleaner water, and overall better experience. 😊
- If your kids are 12 years and younger, then it may be worth checking the waterpark. Otherwise, you can check out 12 things to do near Massanutten Resort to find some inspiration and other options.
