The Park was initially founded as a beach resort in the early 1900s, Mayo Beach Park has a rich history that is still evident today. The park covers 30 acres and features 1,200 feet of sandy beach, making it the perfect spot for family swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. The park also has a fishing pier, boat ramp, and kayak launch, making it a popular destination for boaters and kayakers.

Anne Arundel County acquired Mayo Beach Park in the 1970s, and it has since been developed into a beautiful park offering various recreational activities for visitors of all ages.

If you plan to visit during the weekend, note that you must reserve a FREE day pass, or you won’t be able to get into the park.

Mayo Beach Park tries to control the crows on weekends to ensure the beach is not crowded. So, when you visit, your mind can be at peace knowing it won’t be packed there.

May: 27, 28, 29

June: 3,4,10,11,16,17,18,24,25

July: 1,2,3,4,8,9,15,16,22,23,29,30

August: 5,6,12,13,19,20,26,27

September: 2,3,4
