Know Before You Go
To have an excellent stay at Showboat, it’s essential to approach it with an open mind. The hotel/resort offers a myriad of experiences including accommodations, the largest arcade, a brand-new indoor waterpark, fun games, and so much more. However, patience will be required during your stay.
Let’s talk about it!
- The Showboat offers two types of parking options: Self-parking cost $25 per day (not including taxes). Valet parking cost is $32 per day (not including taxes). The staff might not be exceptionally helpful, so don’t expect them to bring you a luggage cart, even if you’ve paid for valet parking. During my solo trip with my three kids, aged 9, 6, and 1 year old, I had to fetch my own luggage cart. Furthermore, I had to engage in two uncomfortable conversations just to have my luggage brought to our room after unpacking the car.
- Regarding the rooms, it’s important to note that this is not a 5-star hotel/resort. Your room might not be perfect, the room key might not work, and the front desk may not answer your first five calls. Be prepared for these possibilities.
- As for the team members, some of them might be new or lack knowledge about the hotel/resort. Don’t expect them to have answers to general questions. To save yourself from frustration, do your part and gather all information you will need before your trip.
- The hotel extends a warm welcome to your beloved pets, as it is pet friendly. Embrace a memorable getaway while sharing special moments with your furry companions.
Now that you’re mentally prepared for what lies ahead, I assure you that the rest of your trip will be smooth. The most important thing is that the kids will have a lot of fun, and that’s what truly matters.
